I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with using ribbon on a cake that was frosting with whipped cream. I'll be using Pastry Pride. I have a friend who is getting married in less than two weeks and has gone from wanting a simple piped border to no piping and now wants just ribbon. I remember many years ago seeing a cake done w/ribbon & they had used pastry pride but I don't know what the end result was. Weather or not the moisture soaks through if the ribbon stayed on etc..I would certainly appreciate any feedback and or tips anyone might have. Like what type of ribbon was used. Thanks!
You can always put contact paper on the back of the ribbon. Then nothing soaks through the ribbon.
With that said, I have never used a ribbon with Pastry Pride. Hope you get your answer!
