I am making my sisters bridal shower cake this weekend. She loves paisley so I thought I could do some fondant cutouts to put on the buttercream. I of course have waited too late to get a cutter so I am going to have to improvise on that part....I figure I could trace around a pic or something? Then I thought I would "paint" on the cutouts like the little dots, etc. onto them, but what should I use to do this with? Could I just use buttercream with a really small tip on there? Thanks for any suggestions! icon_smile.gif

I would probably use royal icing and a really small icing tip or paper cone because it gives it a really nice look. Painting would probably be easier, faster, and easier on the wrists though! Food gel and and alcohol, then use a food safe paintbrush.
