Any Help would be appreciated...
I am making my first wedding cake and was going to decorate the fondant with scroll work and dots. Basically a different pattern for each teir.
I was wondering if it was best to use buttercream or royal icing to decorate on top of fondant?
whatever you're more comfortable working with. I've always used buttercream, but others here are more comfortable with royal icing.
If it was really intricate detail like lace I'd say RI but as it scrolls and dots you'll be piping it shouldn't matter either way. I personally prefer to use BC because I usually have it handy because I don't use RI as much.
