I'm planning on making a tiered cake, with a fondant ribbon border, and then attaching a dress bow. Should I make the dress bow in gumpaste instead of fondant?

TIA!

I would say gumpaste or a 50/50 gumpaste fondant mix. When I have made bows that way they turn out perfect, when I have used only fondant they have cracked and taken forever to dry.

I agree 50/50 because gumpaste by itself also cracks during drying,or atleast for me and if your using wilton's gumpaste, mixing it gives it a better taste.
