How Long Can Cake Sit Out?

have a cake order for tonight at 6:30, putting the finishing touches on but I want to have it at room temp before I deliver so i can make sure the fondant and everything is ok...it's buttercream\\cream cheese icing..can i leave it out until tonight?

Unless you used a cream cheese recipe that's shelf-stable, then you'd better keep it in the fridge.

I'd probably keep it in the fridge until 2 or 3. And then pull it out.

it's real cream cheese that was refrigerated when i bought it...i know that some condensation will form on the fondant...i'm just afraid that it's going to alter the look of the fondant b/c it has already given me some trouble...
