When a potential customer ask for a tasting cake for a baby shower cake. Do you charge the customer for that tasting cake?

If it's a large event and they are wanting a tiered cake that takes some work, then I'm ok with it.

A sheet cake for 50? Forget it.

Ditto. Tasting for a non-wedding only for a very large order.
