can anyone help me learn how to make edible gems and let me know if it is really coplicated
How about using a candy mold? I've never actually made them myself but I think that's what I would try, saves having to shape them myself. I did a search and found some threads on the topic:

countrykitchensa.com.. has the plastic molds....great book on how to.. and the isomalt.etc.. got mine at the convention.. just got to play with it..great little book on the whole projects,etc. hth
