Rejuvenate Hard Fondant?

Hi I know that I read here somewhere on how to rejuventate hardened fondant. not sure where it was any help would be muchly apprciated.

You can microwave it in 5 sec intervals...Add a bit of shortening but just a small amount.Then knead back to consistency.
