I havent really looked into what all you need in order to own a bakery but I have heard you are not allowed to run it from your home. Is this true?
Renting a building and setting it all up is very expensive so I hoping to just do this at home. I guess in order to do this from my home I would not be able to have a real business and sell at festivals or advertise.

Please just let me know anything you know.
Thank you.

I started my business in AZ four years ago but that was before I moved, joined this group and found out that no you cannot have a home business in az. I'd call the health dept where you live and double check with them.

hth and Welcome!

Noone ever asked! When I applied for a business license it I just had to put in my address and for type of business I put other and they didn't ask what the other was! I think I just got lucky and my customers were fine coming to my home to pick up cakes. I didn't make wedding cakes then so I had no tastings.
