We were canoeing at the lake yesterday, and my daughter suddenly realised that she'd mislaid her cellphone (don't get me started on why a 13 yo needed a cellphone whilst canoeing...). Obviously she was upset, and we realised that it must have slipped out of her pocket over the side. Bottom of lake, end of story, right?...

We'd been staying close to the shore because our mental dog was panicking about us being out on the water, so once we got the canoes back, she retraced our route and actually FOUND it, off the end of one of the docks we'd been near. What are the chances?!! Even better, it actually seems to be working fine now it's had a chance to dry out.

FYI-if your phone gets wet-remove the battery and place phone in a plastic bag filled with uncooked rice and leave it there for a few days. Most of the time it will dry out and work again.
Don't ask how I know!
