Will gumpaste flowers 'melt' or wilt if they touch buttercream icing? This is my first time using them and I don't know.

I have applied gumpaste decorations to buttercream and have had no prolems. They were completely dried and very hard.

I heard that even though it's as hard as rock, as soon as it comes in contact with anything moist, it will soften again and/or wilt. hth.

That is not right...that will only happen when the gumpaste either hasn't been properly dried, or the gumpaste was not a good quality, or old. If they are properly dried, they won't melt..

Thanks. Everything turned out fine. I put them on right before I left and had no trouble.
