I was super bummed. We were supposed to do the last class of course 1 and do a 4 hour course 3 right afterwards. Got an email this AM that it was canceled! icon_sad.gif

So...one of the other students and I got together and decided to take a wild stab at course 3. I had done some of the things- she hadn't at all....

We laughed a lot, learned a little and so plan to continue on...

This was the cake I came up with (it's what happens when you don't really plan). My only -boo- about it was I really wanted to learn the fondant bow or roses and we just couldn't get it to work quite right!

I think you did a great job. What I would recommend to learn how to do the rose is look on-line. You can check out Edna's (tonedna's) youtube video to show you how (It is a video for gp roses instead of straight fondant but they look much better than fondant as you can roll gp a lot thinner than fondant so it looks more realistic). If you want to do it with fondant you still can. Fondant gives you more play time as it doesn't dry as quick as gp.

Have fun!
