I am making a pretty large scale penguin with both feet and arms hanging out, I need to know what kind of support structure to use? I believe I might have to use PVC piping. Any tutorials out there? Anyone done anything like this they can share? Thanks so much.

Check out what Bronwen and Francois have done for their "man stand"
at Caljava under Cake Study. You wouldn't need the legs for a penguin - just a center dowel with a "T" for the wings/arms anchored by a flange on a heavy plywood base.

I didn't get a notification of your post - sorry for the delay. I tried to post a direct link above, but it was blocked. Go to Caljavaonline dot com and click on the Round Topsy link on the next-to-the-last row. You'll see 3 links on the Cake Study page for their different support systems.
