My pin that holds the tilt head of my KA worked its way out and now the head tilts too far down to use. I have tried lining up the holes but the pin wonn't go through. What can I do?

I always had to watch my pin because it would work itself out. When I'd see it sticking out, I'd take the hammer to it and pound it back in. (drove hubby nuts! He said he'd never believe a hammer would be a daily kitchen tool! icon_lol.gif ).

Are you trying to push the pin back in manually or using a hammer? It may be just a tight fit and if you're trying to just push the pin back in, you may not have the strength to do that with just your hands.

Yes, was trying to use my hands. I didn't want to take a hammer to it without someone saying to use that. LOL I'm a big chicken when it comes to using tools.

Thanks for the advise. Now to get the hammer.

My Mom & Dad came down with their mixer for a back up and my Dad pounded it through for me. Yea! Now I have to settle myself down and get back to work.
Thank you Debi
