I have several cakes coming up in November and I want to get a head start on them. Each one will have several 3D accent figures on them. I would like to go ahead and get as much of the accents done as I can in September. My question is which medium is better to use. I see so many people use both and not sure which is better...easier to use. Thanks in advance for any help.

I use a 50/50 mix of fondant and gumpaste.

ok this may sound like a stupid question but how do I mix them together? Just knead them together until they are mixed. I am currently buying premade packages of both right now.

Thanks for the response!

Hi, yes, you need to knead them together really well. You can do that with the premade fondant and gumpaste. icon_smile.gif

I love a mixture of fondant and gumpaste because it gives you more time to work with yet it will dry fast.
