I was asked to do a cake with a barbed wire border for a wrestler at a small time wrestling show. I can't really think of how to do it. I would greatly appreciate any ideas. Thank you for reading.

I wold either use fondant to make the barbed wire or try mini tootsie rolls.

me, too. I'd extrude thin strings of fondant and twist two of them together. Every three inches or so, slip a small, elongated diamond shape of fondant between the strings and keep twisting.

If you don't have an extruder, long, extremely thin strips would work, too.

If you can't do the fondant, could you use the thin licorice strings?
