What is the best way to cut a two or three-tiered cake? Do you seperate the tiers first? It seems like a basic thing, but I'm never quite sure. Thanks.

Yes, you disassemble it completely, first. I always cut the largest tier first and work my way up to the smallest ones. The reason is that if there is any cake left over, it will be the smaller, easier-to-store cakes instead of a partially cut super large cake.

Here is a step by step on how to cut a cake from my website: http://www.cateritsimple.com/id10.html Notice I've got all the cakes taken apart and sitting on the table. (Here's the cake I started with: http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=93735 )
