I need some ideas for a 13 year old girls cake. All she knows she wants is for it to be blue. Not much to go by.

Did you want to make it buttercream or fondant, basic pan shaped or carved? If you give us a little hint in the right direction, you may get more responses.

It needs to be buttercream and look big. So like two layers I am thinking both round cakes. I did a castle cake for her sister so they wanted a cake that looked big but doesnt really need to be all that big. If that makes any sense.

They're not round cakes, but I think a giant blue cell phone would be a cool cake for a teenage girl. It seems like a lot of young teens love their phones and are into texting. You could write the birthday message as a text on the screen.
