I don't do Allergen free cakes, I find it too hard to guarantee and seemingly every other batch of icing I make is peanut butter. But a friend of mine is looking for a recipe. Does anyone have a cake recipe that would work for a child who is peanut and egg allergic? would meringue powder work for a child who is egg allergic? Any help would be great

I'm allergic to eggs. Meringue powder contains eggs, so no.

I often make the wacky cake recipe..you can find it everywhere, even on CC. It is very moist and easy and very popular. For just a tasty, non-decorated cake, what is really yummy is to make a chocolate buttercream and ice it while it is still warm. Oh my. Get a big glass of milk!
