I am making angel food cake for the first time (via cake box mix) and was wondering if it would be ok to make it in a regular 8 or 9" round pan. The directions say to use the angel food cake tube pan or bread loaf pans. Is this really necessary? Is there a particular reason why it needs to be made in these particular pans? TIA!

Thank you so much! That thread was VERY helpful. I chose to use the parchment paper and it worked out fine (with the exception with some wrinkles). icon_biggrin.gif
