I'm looking to make a number '1' for a friend's cake topper. I plan to print the font I want, and then use that print out to make a template and trace the gumpaste from that template.

How thick should I roll the gumpaste so that the '1' will stay upright? Does it make a difference if I'm just going to lay the number flat to dry anyways?

TIA!

as long as it dries hard it shouldn't matter too much.........If you make it thick you'll want to add a toothpick/wire or something to hold it up in the cake, because the thicker it is the heavier it will be!

Thanks!!

Yes, I wondered to myself if it even matters since it will lay flat to dry anyways.

It doesn't matter, it all depends on the look you want
