Latice On Fondant.. What Is The Trick ?

My spelling might be off.. but the latice on fondant with pearls is beautiful... how do you do it ? The cross hatch look...

Is there a pattern you follow ?

you can laso get embossing tools so that you cover the cake, an then emboss it. You can also do it free hand with a ruler, but I prefer to use a tool.

I must try this.. I tried to free hand - not such a good idea.

Yeah I've got buttercream on the brain--the previous one I posted is more for buttercream
