ARGGH... chocolate cake is my enemy.. Can you please look at these cakes and tell me why they cracked... They are in my photos...
I can level them so it wont be a big deal but I have to know...
There are several possible answers... However, incorrect mixing (under or over) is one of the main reasons for most cake failures - so I'd say over mixing.

mine used to do that too, until i left some of the batter out, just one or two cupcakes worth, so i say theres too much batter in the pan.
