My sister and I are trying to make them right now. I hope they come out as beautiful as yours.
wow your butterflys look amazing !!! Can you sent me the website to buy the supplies, I would love to but them.
Oh those are so cute, and your cakes are lovely, can you Please tell me how to make them Pretty Please
Your cake is so pretty!!! Can you tell how to make the butterflys and where to get the supplys? Great job!!
I used the butterfly veining sheets. There are many websites that have them, the two that I know offhand are Beryls and CakeConnection.com
The sheets come with the instructions, so that part is nice. I used a little piping gel on the edges and then dipped them in disco dust for the sparkle on the edges. They will need to dry for several hours, probably overnight is best. But once they are dry, they are very durable.
Here is a link to make all the gelatin stuff (bows, butterflies, and flowers) Diane Simmons of cakeconnection dot com has a new book out - "Gelatin in Bloom" - she has all the mats you need there too. They are a lot of fun and not hard to do at all!

Jillmakescakes - yours are beautiful - glad you like them!!
When and how did you add the glitter on the edges? I just received my book yesterday in the mail "Gelatin in Bloom"..
after wings were all dry, I used a little piping gel around the edges then dipped them in disco dust.
