I used the butterfly veining sheets. There are many websites that have them, the two that I know offhand are Beryls and CakeConnection.com

The sheets come with the instructions, so that part is nice. I used a little piping gel on the edges and then dipped them in disco dust for the sparkle on the edges. They will need to dry for several hours, probably overnight is best. But once they are dry, they are very durable.

Here is a link to make all the gelatin stuff (bows, butterflies, and flowers) Diane Simmons of cakeconnection dot com has a new book out - "Gelatin in Bloom" - she has all the mats you need there too. They are a lot of fun and not hard to do at all!
