How Do I Change Non Crusting B/c To Crusting B/c???

Hi there..I have a couple of cakes to make this weekend and thought I'd save time by buying my B/C. The problem's not crusting. How can I make it crust? Add icing sugar?

Yes usually the higher the sugar/fat ratio the better the bc will crust.
