Hey, did not know where to post this so I decided to do it here. Planning a sweet 16 party whose theme is Paris. Thinking of appetizers and cake (of course). So I am stuck and can only think of quiches. Thinking of a french vanilla cake but wanted more "french" into it....a gourmet filling? What flavor? Any other ideas / suggestions?
Looking for elegant and tasty treats. There will also be adults, not just teens.
Thanks,
Naty

Theres foi gras, escargot, a cheese latter with french cheeses. LOTS of French food, though not sure how kid friendly.

Savory foods:

Platter with sliced baguette, pate, a variety of cheeses (some of the less "scary" French cheeses would be: Camembert, Brie, Chaource, Mimolette, Munster-Gerome, Saint-Nectair or Reblochon, and Chevre), green grapes, sliced pear, and apricot preserves.

I think french onion soup would be easy and very good served in small ramikens. I make it quite often and even people that don't really like onions like this soup!
