If you have ever made a molded sugar vase, can you paint it with petal dust or with an airbrush or food coloring? I am worried that it will dissolve.

Anyone?

start with colored sugar.

airbrushing or painting use alcohol based preparations or using dry brush (ie very minimum of liquid in brush and highly saturated color) technique shouldn't do damage.
