I'm planning to do a cake for a lady who turns 88 on Sunday. I know she does a lot of crocheting and knitting and would like to use that as a theme...does anyone have ideas? I need them to basically be icing/cake as I don't need to spend money (or at least not much) at the store for cake props.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Somebody mentioned this the other day and I looked it up. It is so cool:

I wanted to add you don't have to do the bear. It was the "stitch" look that is so cool. You could just do a sheet cake with the stitches to look like a blanket. Just a thought.
