I am making the cake for my cousins upcoming wedding and they are coming over tomorrow evening to discuss exactly what they want. I already know some basics from them through e-mail but im wondering if you ladies (and gents) have a check list of some sort to make sure you have all the information you need from your bride and grooms. I made them a little sample cake becasue i know they have never tried a fondant covered cake but are wishing to have one. Any tips you would have to give me would be great. Its my first wedding cake and its for family, so i feel extra pressure.
Thank you all!

I have found that pictures help. When you are discussing the cake, they may have something else pictured in their mind. If you are looking at the same picture, then there is no question about what they want. I just make sure to get the number of servings that they need, flavor of cake, date and time.
