I have a cake to make soon and they want a 3D rottweiler head and a turkey leg (ode to Griswold's Christmas vacation if anyone's wondering). How on earth do I construct a 3D dog head? What about the turkey leg? I don't usually use fondant . . . what tip do you think I should use for the frosting?

turkey leg is easy....

1/2ball pan (or soccer ball pan trimmed a bit) + wondermold = the meaty end.

then log of fondant shaped and attached with skewer = bone.

i'll leave the dog's head to others.

Fondant covered RKT for the dog head? Much easier to work with than cake in my opinion, because I can rip it apart and start again more easliy. I don't feel that "I've only got one shot at this stress". Then put the dog head topper on a simple decorated cake. Good luck!
