The MMF looks great. Did you buy the black fondant? Or was that MMF too? If that was MMF, you may have put too much powdered sugar in it. And if you bought it, (like Satin Ice for instance), you have to knead it for a long time, so that you don't have the little tears in it.

I hope this helps - that's the point!!

Yes, the black fondant is MMF. Are you talking about the tears on the zebra pattern? If yes, It's because I cut them with a knife... Yup. I learned my lesson,. Going for the pizza cutter next time.

Sometimes black MMF will do that just because of the amount of color added to it, no matter what it's cut with.

The cake is great and your photography skills are too! icon_biggrin.gif

Yes. I was trying to help you figure out what happened. Sometimes you put crisco on your finger and smooth the edges up.

Sometimes if the fondant cracks i'll heat it up in the microwave for about 20 sec. Thant seems to help me.
