Can somebody please give me some advice on how to fondant ice a completely round ball shaped cake. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

I cover them the same as any other shape of cake. The trick is, that the further down you go, keep pulling out the fondant to stop any ripples or bagging that can occur at the bottom.

Thanks Natalie. Do you sit them on anything special because obviously I need to get right underneath?

If it is sitting on a cake board, I would just ice it down to the board level you wouldn't need to cover the entire ball then. Are you doing something abit different? Was sort of cake design are you doing?
