I just covered my first cake with chocolate fondant but it looks so dull, what can I put on it to make it shine?

Crisco?

Thanks, Carol

I just finished watching Sharon's video's (Sugar Ed Productions) and she said you can wipe your entire fondant covered cake with Crisco to remove the dull finish. Just use a paper towel. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, I will try that! I bought all of her DVD's at ICES but haven't had time to start watching them yet.

Steaming fondant also gives that patent leather finish.
