Help My Cake Is Not Baked In The Bottom...

I baked the almond sour cream white cake with a mix and the bottom looks like it wasn't done. You can see a line when you cut it in the bottom it looks like gooey cake and 3/4 up looks just fine with a beautiful crumb. Do you know why it turn like this? Please help is not the first time it happend to me. icon_cry.gif I have to bake a 4 tiers cake for a wed. and I am so afraid that look like this!!! HELP PLEASE!!! icon_sad.gif

You might need to bake at a lower temperature. Sounds like the top is getting done before the bottom.

You also may need to move your oven rack down so the bottom of the pan is closer to the element.

Do you have tinfoil on the bottom of your oven? Sometimes people do this to help with cleaning. However, it keeps the heat from even distribution.

If it's an electric oven, make sure the bottom element is heating up.
