Hello! I have just started working w/ fondant. I just have a couple questions for you experienced fondant users out there...
1) Tips on coloring fondant using same coloring method for buttercream?
2) How long will fondant stay 'good?'
3) Best way to store unused fondant?
Hi I am not an expert but have done my fair share of research. I just made 2 cakes using fondant. I colored them by kneading in a few drops of icing color at a time. I did it over a saran wrap covered surface and used gloves. I rolled it into a long log, folded it and twisted into a braid and repeated until blended well. Fondant as long as it stored correctly can last a few months. I have my unused fondant wrapped in saran wrap and in an airtight container in my cabinet (not refridgerated). Hope this helps from 1 newbie to another!

I pretty much agree with Letty keep it well wraped! Also wanted to add when doing reds black or other deep colours, colour your fondant the night before to give the colour time to develop.
get yourself some plastic gloves...the ones you find in a hospital. they will keep your hands from getting stained!
