Hi Everyone, I have a customer of mine who is getting married this August 22nd and has come to me at the last minute to do her cake she was going to try and do it herself first. She wants a red velvet cake with Pecan butter cream . I've only made a red velvet cake once which was Sarah's red velvet I believe and I was totally sold on it. Does anyone have a better recipe for red velvet or a pecan butter cream?
Help! Very little time.
I used to love Sarah's RV cake recipe. but I now love Cake Man Raven's recipe! I use like 3 tbs of cocoa in this recipe though, not what it says on there

I've never had Pecan Buttercream, but it sounds yummy. The last time I made red velvet, I used the recipe from Martha Stewarts Wedding Cakes. I thought it was pretty good.
I have a recipe for a delicious butter pecan frosting. It is made with 1/2 butter and 1/2 cream cheese. The pecans are toasted and can chopped for a chunky b/c or pulverized for a smoother b/c. I have it posted, just look under Naty. Do a search.
Hope this helps,
Naty
