I just made red velvet cake and when I leveled it I tasted a piece and it's really dry! I've used this recipe before and didn't have this problem. I've never used syrup before but I am thinking I need to start! Can anyone give advice? Recipe for a syrup that would go with red velvet cake? Or will stacking it with the filling now keep it moist? Heeeeeelllllllpppppp! Thank you so much...
Basic syrup of sugar & wayer should be fine.

I can't tell you how much to put, cause it depends on the cake size and how dry it may be. I can tell you that cakes can hold a good amount of syrup. I apply it evenly with a syringe.
