I need some help please!
I had a bride request a grooms cake in the shape of the world poker chips. I am including a link so you can view it. How would you get the letters to look the same or even close? What does a cake like this cost. I normally charge 3.50 a serving for fondant but these are single layers. Any help would be appreicated.

does the groom-elect have a set of these chips?

if so, can you get one and scan it?

the could do an edible image for the center of the cake.

other than that -- it's a matter of experimenting with fonts until you find one that is close and then print it out to use as a template.

bump it up to $4/serving due to the offset stacking.

oooh -- just found this image to use for edible image

Thanks Doug. I had thought about an edible image but where I live, it's next to impossible to get one. The wedding is the end of this month. She just asked me to make this cake last Wednesday. So, would you just print it (larger) and just cut the letters out of fondant?

yep, print large enough to properly scaled for size of cake and then "hack" at it.

(well, that's how my fondant often seems to look if I try to cut shapes, as if I hacked them out!)
