My customer wants a cake styled like a graduation hat, due to her beliefs she cannot eat many flower pastes etc (many contain gelatin) So I am wondering how I will beable to get a flat top that wont droop

I have use cardboard or thin foam board covered with fondant - not edible of course, but does a good job. I have done small one (see my pics), but should work with large one also. You could use the large doll pan.
