I've only just discovered MFF (I've been using MMF) and am thrilled to be able to refrigerate the covered cakes in this hot weather. My problem is that the MFF is coming out "crumbly". So I've been adding glycerin to soften it up however it is still showing some cracking on the seams. Not much but enough to be annoying. It also doesn't seem as pliable (stretchy) as MMF. Am I doing anything wrong or is this the norm? I've been very careful with my measurements of the ingredients. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Christa

I'm not completely sure, but I think adding some crisco might help with both problems. Just add a little at a time until you get the texture you are looking for. Hopefully someone else will be able to give you some more advice! icon_smile.gif
