Do You Torte And Dam 6Inch Cakes?

I made a 6 inch and torted and used a dam on each layer(cut each cake in half) but it seemed real messy on a 6 inch round...do you just fill between layers on a 6 inch??? maybe I just need more practice icon_sad.gif

Yes, I torte and fill my 6" layers as well as all other sizes....4 layers of cake 3 layers of filling per tier. icon_smile.gif

I fill all of my cakes. I usually don't torte, but I may start.

I torte my 6 inch cakes and fill also. The only way I use a dam anymore though is if I am having to keep a filling from oozing out. I don't dam if I'm using the same icing for a filling.
