Seriously, make the cake and take it to her a day or so before the party. Maybe she got wind of the undermining of her themed party. I bet she was dreaming about your cake and may have even told other guests about it. She can enjoy your gift on her own at home. MAKE THE CAKE. It will be a gesture she will never forget. Good luck.

Hooray! Sometimes the solution is as simple as communication icon_biggrin.gif

As for SIL changing the theme - OMG she will do ANYTHING to undermine you, won't she? And speaking of communication, I would just absolutely, positively stop communicating with SIL because she is just going to try to undermine every single thing you do. Just stay in touch with Jen to keep on top of what the theme is. I am sure you already know this icon_cool.gif. Seriously, what a nightmare!

Anyway I am so glad you talked to Jen and that you are going to stick by her and make her day so special!

What a trifling beeyatch. There was no other reason to change the theme except to make your pig seem out of place. What did she change the theme to, "Wal-Mart"? To match the cheese and cracker tray she wanted for Jen's special day?

But really, what is the new theme, I'm curious now.

Oh no! Why didn't you go? icon_sad.gif I wanted the inside scoop on the "other" cake.

I'm glad people ate your cake. Hopefully they commented to her SIL about how delicious it was too!

now that its all over, maybe you and jen could go out for a nice, quiet meal. just the two of you. you sound like you are a great friend and that's probably just what she needs right now. its probably just what you need too, a great friend like jen.

It would have been funny if you had put a sombrero and poncho on the pig...a mexican fiesta pig!

SIL would probably be livid..

SIL didnt make her cake (just as my hubby thought!)

I didnt go because i didnt want any tension there for jen. We will have a nice b-day dinner just me and her.

SIL's mother complimented the picture on facebook, and told me she had a peice... that must have been a kick in the bum!
