I am from Alberta, Canada and all I could find in the likes of Isomalt was Diabeti Sweet. It say the ingredients are isomalt. Had anyone tried this for making sugar ice? I want to get the niceclear ice cube effect. Will Diabeti Sweet work? Will it cause any upset in stomach if eaten?
I'm not sure if that is the same as isomalt, but in a demo at the ICES convention they were saying that isomalt is used in diabetic candies. They also said that eating alot of isomalt could cause tummy problems. There is also a warning on diabetic candies that say the same thing.
