Can anyone tell me how many cups of buttercream icing I will need to ice an 18 inch round cake, 4 inches high? I'm using a filling so I only need enough for the sides and top.
My chart only goes up to 16 inch cakes.

My chart says 6-1/2 cups for an 18" round that is 4-1/2" high. This is for a layer that is 3/16" thick so you could adjust if you do a thinner or thicker coat.
