Icing & Refridgeration Question

Sorry if this is a very basic question, but I have been doing lots of cupcakes latelely and all sorts of questions are beginning to emerge as I improve. One big question I have is in regards to icing. When an icing receipe calls for 'a few tablespoons of milk', or a little sour cream..ie (1/4 cup) or '3 Tbls of Baileys' in the icing, should I then assume the cupcake being frosted should be refridgerated?
