I have seen, like on Ace of Cakes, etc. how they use all of those wires sticking out of the cakes to hold things up, what is that? I wanted to make a butterfly cake for my little girl's second birthday; but I won't want to make anyone sick, HA! Can anyone advise?

Hi, sticking wires straight into the cake is not food safe. I don't know why some do that. I never insert wires like that. Always use a posypick/flowerpick. icon_smile.gif

I know that you can take the wire and dip the end that will get inserted into the cake in white chocolate. That will make it food safe! I found that out from Sugarshack.
