I am going to try something new...I am making a wedding cake. It will be two 12" square layers and then two 8" square layers on top. I am using the separator plates and supporting with dowels. I made a trial run cake and when I took the top layer off (with the separator plate), the fondant covering the bottom layers pulled off bringing some of the cake with it! Total mess! I'd hate to have this happen at the reception! does anyone have a solution to this?Thanks for any ideas!
