I have been using the Wilton's gel colors for my cake decorating and I am finding that the color just doesn't seem to mix well, especially when doing extra bright or deep colors. I have seen the powder colors and was wondering if those might do better, or if there is a different brand of gel color that you have found works better for you?

Hi! I absolutely LOVE Americolor gel colors. I have also used Spectrum and Chef Master, but Americolor is my favorite by far! (I have not used powder colors, unless they are petal/luster dusts for my finished sugarpaste projects.)

I have heard nothing but fantastic things about AmeriColor. My local cake supply shop carries it, but I'm scared to try it because the bottles look so tiny. Hopefully that just means they are extra potent and a little goes a long way! I'll pick up a bottle next time I'm out and I'll report back to you!
