Hi and Welcome to CC, daddysgrl314. icon_smile.gif

Decoding CC acronyms:

Everything you need to know to make, decorate and assemble tiered/stacked/layer cakes:

Above superthread includes popular CC recipes for crusting American buttercreams, several types of fondant and doctored cake mix (WASC and other flavor variations) - and so much more!

"Good" can be very subjective....

If you're doing production baking, Fat Daddio's or Magic Line pans are professional quality but they come with professional quality prices. The price/investment is justified if you're using them day in and day out.

If you're baking for family and friends, Wilton's Decorator Preferred or Performance pans (especially the pan sets) are a good value because they're perfectly serviceable and can be purchased relatively inexpensively. (Use 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.)
