ladies.. i as replicating a pair converse... unfortunatly they ordered just plain devils food!! i did it to moist i assume ..
i know, NEWBIE mistake.
i tried to follow customers wishes because if symbolizes something for them..
so now i've layered two sheets... and its way too soft! im freezing them now but afraid to handle either one!
how can i strengthen or even solidify these for tomorrow afternoon!
I don't know how to make them more dense once they are already baked. I would most likely rebake really fast. I always add a half box of instant pudding mix to my batter to make the cakes more dense for carving. I know that doesn't help you now but maybe in the future it might? Good luck, Maybe someone else will have better advice for you!
I would freeze right away then carve.
There are some cakes that are not meant to be use for carving. I do suggest you freeze the cake and then carve, just like Karema suggested.
